Osteopathy for Back & Neck Pain
Back and neck pain can affect everyday movement, work, exercise and sleep. Dr Brad Corbett provides osteopathic assessment and treatment to help reduce discomfort, improve mobility and support a return to the activities that matter to you.
Back Pain
Back pain may occur suddenly, develop gradually or become recurrent. It can present as aching, stiffness, restricted movement or discomfort with particular activities and positions.
Assessment considers your symptoms, health history and relevant movement and function to help understand what may be contributing to your pain and guide your care.
Neck Pain
Neck pain may involve pain, stiffness or restricted movement and can sometimes be accompanied by tension through the shoulders and upper back.
As with back pain, there can be a number of contributing factors. Assessment helps determine what is relevant to your presentation and whether osteopathic treatment is appropriate.

Back and neck pain does not always have a single cause. Factors that may be relevant include:
Osteopathic Treatment & Rehabilitation
Your care begins with a comprehensive health history and physical assessment. Brad will discuss his findings with you, answer any questions and explain the treatment options he considers appropriate for your presentation.
Treatment may include hands-on osteopathic techniques such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation and manipulation, stretching and dry needling, together with movement, exercise and self-management advice. Drawing on his assessment and clinical experience, Brad will work with you to develop a treatment plan that reflects your needs, goals and preferences.
If further investigation is needed, Brad can refer for diagnostic imaging such as X-ray, CT or MRI, or recommend referral to another health professional where appropriate.
