What Does an Osteopath Do?
At Bodies in Balance Osteopathy, treatment focuses on understanding how the body is functioning as a whole — not simply where pain is felt, but why it may be happening in the first place.
Dr Brad Corbett combines hands-on osteopathic treatment with rehabilitation and movement-based care to support pain relief, mobility and long-term function.
An osteopath assesses how the body is moving and functioning as a whole, rather than focusing only on isolated symptoms.
Treatment may include:
hands-on osteopathic techniques
joint mobilisation
soft tissue treatment
rehabilitation exercises
tailored movement-based care
Osteopathy can support:
back pain
neck pain
headaches
postural strain
sports injuries
pregnancy-related discomfort
movement restrictions

Postural Strain & Tension
The way your body moves and holds itself each day can shape how it feels.
Over time, postural strain can lead to discomfort, tension and reduced mobility. Identifying and addressing these patterns can help improve alignment, reduce strain and support more efficient movement.
Mobility, Balance & Movement
When your body is working in balance, movement feels easier and more natural.
Rather than focusing on one area alone, Brad looks at how different parts of your body work together. Treatment focuses on improving coordination, mobility and overall movement, helping you move with greater ease and confidence.
Osteopathy Across the Ages
Osteopathy can support you at every stage of life. Brad works with children and young adults, supports women through pregnancy, and cares for older adults — adapting treatment as your body and needs change over time.
Whether you’re navigating the physical changes of pregnancy, managing the demands of work or study, recovering from injury, staying active, or maintaining mobility as you age, care is tailored to meet you where you are.
Treatment is gentle, considered and responsive — helping you move more freely, feel more comfortable and function at your best.

Supporting Your Health Beyond Treatment
Care extends beyond what happens in the treatment room.
Alongside hands-on treatment, Brad may provide simple, practical guidance around movement, posture and everyday habits, as well as personalised exercise programs to support your long-term health.
